Dave Matthews Band - Two decades of US rock brilliance
Hailing from Charlottesville in Virginia, these rockers formed in 1991 around their titular singer-songwriter. With the lead singer remaining a constant fixture, the rest of the line-up has had a fair few changes over the years. Stefan Lessard, drummer Carter Beauford and saxophonist LeRoi Moore made up the original act, while a violinist, Boyd Tinsley was added to the setup before Remember Two Things, their 1993 debut album, was released.
The band became one of America's biggest rock acts in the 1990s, performing summer-long tours and mixing up their shows to ensure that no two gigs were the same. In 2008 they were hit by the tragic death of Moore, but chose to continue, adding Jeff Coffin and unofficial member Tim Reynolds into the mix. Away From The World, their 2012 album stormed to the top of the charts, reaffirming the band's status as one of the world's most successful rock bands. With the effort proving they were on fine form as ever, they still remain as one of the most potent live acts you can see today.
