Anthony Joshua Tickets
Over the past twelve years Anthony Joshua has pounded his way to the top of the boxing world. Despite not stepping into the ring until after his 18th birthday, he swept through the amateur ranks, breezed his way to both the British and IBF heavyweight titles, and reached the sport's summit less than a decade after throwing his first punch – producing the performance of a lifetime to defeat legendary champion Wladimir Klitschko and claim the WBA world heavyweight title. In front of a post war record crowd of 90,000 at Wembley Stadium, Joshua recovered from being knocked down – for the first time in his then 19-fight career – to deliver the decisive blows in the 11th round; with the force of that thunderous uppercut presumably still ringing in the Ukrainian's ears.
Joshua vs Usyk: 25th September 2021
Joshua will fight Usyk in September at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. After scoring a brutal ninth-round knockout against Kubrat Pulev at The SSE Arena, Wembley back in December, Joshua now returns to the capital to defend his IBF, WBA, WBO and IBO World Titles against Oleksandr Usyk. Anthony Joshua fight record
After an amateur career which saw him twice claim the Haringey Box Cup, win the 2010 senior ABA Championships and, of course, take home a gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics, Anthony Joshua was awarded with an MBE for his services to boxing before he'd even thrown a punch as a professional.
Since then, five first-round knockouts; ten world title bouts; and only one loss have followed (Anthony lost to Andy Ruiz Jr in their first bout in June 2019, then won the rematch in December 2019). Anthony Joshua's professional fight record is exemplary. From Dillian Whyte to Dominic Breazeale, Eric Molina to Wladimir Klitschko; few have been able to go the full 12 rounds with the Watford man.
Emanuele Leo was floored inside three minutes on Joshua's professional debut; fellow Britons Paul Butlin and Dorian Darch were dispatched in two rounds; before Denis Bakhtov was bettered inside two as Joshua claimed the WBC International heavyweight belt almost a year to the day after his professional debut.
In fact, it took until Joshua's 15th professional fight before an opponent survived more than three rounds in the ring. The opponent that night was Dillian Whyte, with Joshua forced to survive the first major scare of his career as he overcame a stubborn Whyte to hold onto both the British and Commonwealth titles at the O2 Arena in London.
It was back to business as usual in fight 16 with American Charles Martin demolished in two as Joshua won the IBF heavyweight title with ease. Dominic Breazeale offered stiffer resistance in fight 17 (withstanding seven rounds) before Eric Molina was felled in three. Joshua then dispatched Klitschko at Wembley and both Takam and Parker in Cardiff.
For the first time in his career, Joshua was forced to go the distance to defeat Parker in March 2018; claiming victory after 12 well-controlled rounds via a unanimous points decision. The win saw Joshua unify the WBA, IBF and WBO belts (leaving only Deontay Wilder's WBC title left to claim) after judges scored the fight 118-110, 118-110 and 119-109 in Joshua's favour.
Back at Wembley in 2018, AJ defended his three belts against Russian mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin with a seventh-round knockout. After taking down Ruiz in their rematch in late 2019 in Saudi Arabia, Joshua returned to British soil to defeat Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev and celebrated his 24th victory in his 25th professional fight.
