Reaching the promised land of the Premier League was an honourable but just reward for this Hertfordshire team after eight long years in the Championship. Promotion for the Hornets sees them rub shoulders with the world's elite as they look to hold their place in the most prestigious league in the world. Watford have already shown they can hold their own after a promising start to their campaign, but there is a long road ahead. As is often the case with newly promoted teams, they have dramatically reshuffled the pack, bringing 15 new players to Vicarage Road throughout summer 2015, with big money spent on the likes of Etienne Capoue, Valon Behrami and Steven Berghuis. Spanish coach Quique Sanchez Flores was appointed in June, becoming the club's fifth manager in just ten months, and his vast experience - including a Europa League victory with Atletico Madrid in 2010 - could help steady the ship.
More About Watford FC - Hornets
Founded in 1881, this football club have come a long way, truly coming to prominence under the stewardship of former England manager Graham Taylor, who took charge in 1977, leading them from Fourth Division to the top flight in an incredible five years. Today, they are owned by the Pozzo family, who also have stakes in Udinese and Granada. The team's supporters have endured a rollercoaster ride since their new Italian owners took charge, with captain Troy Deeney's memorable Championship playoff semi-final goal against Leicester City in 2013 and their eventual promotion in 2015 the most notable moments.
Still, the fans will have every reason to believe they can cause a few upsets, and with their three-pronged attack in Deeney, Vydra and Ighalo bagging 57 goals last term, they can certainly cause problems if things click again.
