British band Idles traces its history back to 2011, when two college friends decided to get together to make music. Fast forward a few years, and the band had grown to five members and, having worked through various influences from indie to rock, garage to hardcore, had finally found their niche in the punk rock scene. Their music is defiantly unique - the band prefers to not be labelled, but rather creates their own sound with punk rock as a starting point. It is undoubtedly loud and proud: guitars and drums are played fast and furiously, creating an uproarious sound that goes perfectly with the angry, emotion-laden lyrics of their songs.
