Don Broco Biography - The Dons of Modern Alt-Rock
Friends from school, vocalist Rob Damiani began writing music with guitarist Simon Delaney, bassist Tom Doyle and drummer Matt Donnelly in 2008 while attending Bedford Modern School. After playing a number of local shows, the band took a short break for university before uniting once more in 2009. Going on a self-promoted tour of the UK, the group made a major splash when they were added to the bill at Download festival that same year. Going on tour as the support act for celebrated post-hardcore four-piece Enter Shikari, their reputation began to grow and in 2010 they released self-produced single 'Dreamboy'. Releasing the Big Fat Smile EP in 2011, the group's hard work finally paid off and they were featured in alternative music publications such as Rock Sound and Kerrang!. That same year the pop-punk outfit went on their first headlining tour, adding gigs with Deaf Havana to their already packed touring schedule.
