The Neighbourhood Biography - Sophisticated Rock Fun
With such a polished sound it's hard to believe that this soul-loving alternative rock group only came together at the tail-end of 2011. By early 2012 the band had released debut single 'Female Robbery', but it was their single 'Sweater Weather', their second foray into the charts, that saw the group achieve mainstream success after it topped the alternative rock charts and broke into the top 15 of the Billboard charts. After performing coveted spots at SXSW and Coachella, the group were joined on their 2013 tour by The 1975 and Imagine Dragons to promote their debut album I Love You.
Following acclaimed performances on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Live on Letterman and other prominent entertainment shows, the group found themselves attracting an excited fan following in the UK. This led to the premiere of 2013 track 'Silver' on BBC Radio 1. Their fast rise to fame has already led to the announcement of a second album, The Black and the White, just over a year after their debut release.
