Slade Biography - Feel The Noize Again

Originally in two separate bands, Noddy Holder and the rest of his gang first met on a ferry to Germany in 1965. However, it wasn't until 1966 that the foghorn-voiced frontman would agree to join the band, who crashed the charts with 'Get Down and Get With It' in 1971. The same year, they scored their first Number One with 'Coz I Luv You', before hitting the top spot with singalong favourites 'Cum On Feel The Noize' and 'Skweeze Me, Pleeze Me' over the next couple of years. The success of these singles was followed by the release of Slade Alive, which is still heralded as one of the best live albums ever made.

However, it's their ubiquitous Christmas anthem that's brought them the most success, going on to sell more than a million copies and regularly re-entering the charts every December. Although the group's members have gone on to enjoy success in other areas of entertainment - most notably Holder, who is a successful broadcaster - they still regularly tour the UK to play their hits to fans new and old.
