Sabaton Biography - The Anvil-Heavy 'Heroes', Live on Stage

Hailing from Falun, Sweden, this power metal troupe formed in 1999, based around the nucleus of singer Joakim Brod�n and bassist P�r Sundstr�m. They released a CD of demos named Fist For Fight, technically their debut album, paving the way for their 2005 second album Primo Victoria. Their intense sound was often built around themes of war, covering subjects such as the Falkland Islands conflict (on their song 'Back In Control') and World War II ('Angels Calling'). Surviginv numerous line-up changes, they garnered a reputation as an incredible live act as they played festivals across Europe, including Bloodstock, with 2010 album Coat of Arms proving a particular fan favourite. Most recently they've been touring their 2014-released album Heroes: arguably their finest record yet.
