In 2006, the venue celebrated the first time that its box office saw an act (the Arctic Monkeys) sell out in less than an hour. For sport fans, the presence of the Plymouth Raiders is also a huge novelty, with the Raiders said to be one of the most popular and talented teams in the top flight of British basketball.
