Metric - Pagans in Vegas
2015 sees this Indie band return with sixth studio album Pagans in Vegas, which continues down the synthpop path they explored so intrepidly through previous release Synthetica in 2012, which earned a nomination for the prestigious Polaris Music Prize - the Canadian Album of the Year and claimed the Alternative Album of the Year at the 2013 Juno Awards. The new record - their first material in three years - features twelve tracks, with first single 'The Shade' quickly followed up by 'Cascades'. Emily Haines' trademark breathy vocals sit perfectly on top of an increasingly electronic sound, with the four-piece group showing no sign of losing their talent for a memorable riff or singalong chorus over their long career.

Fronted by the unmistakable Emily Haines, this Canadian band have made a name for themselves thanks to their consistently high quality albums and captivating live shows. Early listens of delayed first album Grow Up and Blow Away gave some indication of their potential, but it was opening studio release Old World Underground, Where Are You Now? that really caught the public's attention, thanks to catchy singles 'Combat Baby' and 'Dead Disco'. Their sublime Indie rock was soon gaining a global audience, with 'Monster Hospital' from 2005's Live It Out gaining mainstream radio airplay and featuring on several big US TV shows. The band�s sound continued to evolve over follow-up albums Fantasies and Synthetica, with new LP Pagans in Vegas sure to continue that ambitious trend.
