Megadeth � Biography of a Monumental Metal Band

Formed in 1983 in Los Angeles, the group are regarded as leading pioneers of the thrash metal scene and were brought together by guitarist Dave Mustaine, after his somewhat controversial dismissal from Metallica, and bassist Dave Ellefson. They are hailed as one of the thrash metal �big four� along with Slayer, Anthrax and Metallica. The band released their debut album in 1985 and their first album with a major label, Peace Sells... but Who's Buying?, in 1986. They have since released twelve more and have sold fifty million records in total across the world.

A cornerstone in the metal hall of fame, this band are back for more with a new line-up and an exciting new release on the horizon.
