Little Angels Biography - Rubbing Shoulders with Rock Royalty
The group formed in Scarborough during 1984, when Toby Jepson and Mark Plunkett's band Zeus teamed up with three more musicians to form Mr Thrud. After changing their name the group released a debut mini album, Too Posh to Mosh in 1987, earning them support slots with Guns N' Roses and Faith No More. 1988 saw them release their debut single and just two years later they set out on their revolutionary Rock 'n' Roll in Education tour, playing at schools across the UK during lunch breaks. Three years later, the band found fame (and courted controversy) after single 'Boneyard' was banned by Radio 1 due to its references to the Gulf War. The following year saw them play to a huge crowd at Wembley Stadium alongside the legendary Bryan Adams.
Although they split in 1994, LA's members still pursued their passion for music. Plunkett used his infinite experience to manage teen heart-throbs Boyzone whilst Richardson joined alt-rock group Skunk Anansie. In 2012 Little Angels tickets again went on sale when they reunited for what was supposed to be a brief reunion at Donington Park, but found that they had missed making music together so much that they decided to pencil in further dates for their adoring followers.
