A non-stop force of creativity

After the split of Los Pirates, the Galician musician continued to perform alongside his brother at a local pub by the name of El Ensanche. The gigs proved to be incredibly popular and led Ferreiro to record an album of entirely new songs entitled "Canciones para el tiempo y la distancia". He took these tracks on tour after the album’s release in 2005 and was accompanied by his brother on guitar and Karlos Arancegui on drums. During this time he began writing songs for his next project, "Las siete y media", which was recorded in Buenos Aires, Madrid and his hometown of Nigrán in Galicia. Laboratorio Ñ – a collaborative spectacle

In 2005, Ivan Ferreiro initiated a creative project he called Laboratorio Ñ, alongside fellow musicians Quique González and Xoel López. The idea was for a group of musicians to meet up at a house around 30 km away from Buenos Aires to write music together. Spanish groups Pereza and Amaral took part as well as Argentinian acts such as Lisandro Aristimuño and Bersuit. Laboratorio Ñ only goes to show Ferreiro’s passion for music and his constant search for inspiration and creativity. It comes out on stage too, along with his husky voice and visual intensity that make for a truly electric show. In 2008 he released his third effort, "Mentiroso Mentiroso", which was followed two years later by "Picnic Extraterrestre" and a live album in 2011, "Confesiones de un artista de mierda".
