An evolving musical journey
Born in Barcelona in 1987, Sadness originally released music under the moniker Shinoflow. After a few years of performing on the Spanish underground scene and building a loyal following, he was listed as one of the faces to watch in 2009 by major Spanish newspaper El País. This shot him into the national limelight and soon saw him working with esteemed producer Fernando Vacas, who had previously worked with Spanish folk band Russian Red. Playing big shows across the world
Accustomed to live shows having performed throughout Spain since early in his career, things took a dramatic turn for Carlos Sadness in 2009, when he supported mega star Katy Perry at her show in Barcelona. This was by far the biggest show audience he had ever performed in front of and provided invaluable experience and development of his stage presence. He has gone on to play at a number of major events and solo concerts, including the Vive Latino festival in Mexico.
