Burna Boy is a Nigerian singer-songwriter most known for his lead single "Like to Party", which was released along with his 2013 debut studio album "L.I.F.E". The afro-fusion artist grew up with many musical influences and first formed a band in secondary school. He moved to London to further his education but eventually dropped out to pursue a career in his real passion: music.

Aristokrat Records produced Burna Boy’s debut studio album "L.I.F.E" in 2013, which went on to sell an incredible 40,000 copies on the first day of its release. His early music was influenced by artists like Fela Kuti, Bob Marley and King Sunny Ade; he produces his own songs and has released tracks featuring guest appearances from other artists include 2face Ibidia, M.I, Wizkid, Timaya, Olamide and Reminisce. The album was named one of the best albums of 2013 by Nigeria Entertainment Today, received a nomination for "Best Album of the Year" at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards, and hit Number 7 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart. After leaving Aristokrat Records in 2014, Burna Boy created his own label, Spaceship Entertainment, on which he released his second album, "On A Spaceship", in November 2015. In 2018 Burna Boy's vocals were featured on the song "Sunshine Riptide" by Fall Out Boy, and in the same year he released his third studio album, "Outside". By this time his sound had expanded to include mainly afrobeat, dancehall, reggae and road rap songs. "Outside" featured other guest artists including J Hus, Lily Allen and Mabel, and was also an award-winning effort, taking "Album of the Year" at the 2018 Nigerian Entertainment Awards and debuting at Number 3 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart. The album’s most popular single, "Ye", was ranked by many Nigerian publications as biggest song of 2018.
