Alongside his music career, Singh is a talented writer and documentary maker and a keen badminton player. While his reality show experiences were vital in establishing Arijit Singh as a national icon, it was the inclusion of his song Tum Hi Ho on the soundtrack to Bollywood hit Aashiqui 2 that brought Singh to international prominence. The song was a worldwide hit and won Singh the Best Male Playback Singer award at the Filmfare Awards.
