The Vamps: pop giants to bring Night and Day tour to 11 UK arenas in 2018
After winning a raft of best newcomer awards in 2013/14 The Vamps have built on their early promise to become one of the most popular pop-dance-rock crossovers in the music industry. The band followed up the release of their debut Meet the Vamps by touring with the likes of JLS, The Wanted and Little Mix, before embarking on a huge worldwide tour of their own after the release of second album Wake Up in 2015.
Comparisons with One Direction continued to be strongly rebuffed by the band – not least because they formed independently and play their own instruments – as the catchy, more dancey 2017 effort Night rose to number one in the UK charts.
To mark their success, The Vamps return in 2018 for a series of arena dates in the UK. The boys will call at 11 cities in April and May 2018 including London, Birmingham and Manchester. The band will also visit: Sheffield; Glasgow; Newcastle; Liverpool; Dublin; Belfast; Cardiff and Nottingham – meaning fans up and down the country (and both sides of the Irish Sea) will get the chance to see The Vamps live in 2018.

The Vamps: foursome on the up after scoring first UK number one album
The Vamps first breathed life when they discovered each other's respective music channels on YouTube. It was guitarist James McVey who first reached out to singer Bradley Simpson, after being impressed by the quality of his voice. They began to write songs together and, recognising the potential of forming a band, subsequently recruited bassist Connor Ball and drummer Tristan Evans. The newly formed group started uploading cover songs onto YouTube and soon caught the attention of EMI Records.
After building a strong online fan base, the band's debut single "Can We Dance" received viral attention, while debut album Meet the Vamps reached number two in the UK and Ireland; with the boys attributing their popularity to writing relatable music about their personal experiences.
Following up the success of critically acclaimed second record Wake Up – which was coupled with a massive tour across 18 countries and four continents – the Vamps scored their first number one album in July 2017 with the Night edition of their two-part release Night & Day, with the Day edition to hit shelves in December.
The Vamps will then head out on tour in April and May 2018; with 11 arena dates up and down the UK. Make sure you're there to see the band showcase the best of their back catalogue so far by grabbing The Vamps tickets at StubHub today.
