Stick To Your Guns Tickets
Based in Orange County, California, Stick to Your Guns is a punk and hardcore rock five-piece band. Formed in 2003, Jesse Barnett, who plays keyboard and occasional guitar, is the sole surviving member from that time. He is also the band's lead vocalist and frontman. As of 2017, the other members of Stick to Your Guns are Andrew Rose, on bass, George Schmitz, the group's drummer, plus two guitarists, Chris Rawson and Josh James.
Stick To Your Guns' formation and early releases
Stick To Your Guns was put together by Barnett and the group's original drummer, Casey Lagos. The two wrote the band's punky material and soon recruited Noah Calvin as a bassist, and two guitarists to complete the first lineup. After playing a few gigs in California, the band went on to record their debut EP, entitled Compassion Without Compromise, a self-released work of 2004. As a result, the band was signed to This City Is Burning Records, and set about work on the first full-length album, full of their trademark crunchy guitars. Originally put out in 2005, For What It's Worth is regarded by many fans to be their masterpiece. It was re-released in 2007 by Sumerian Records, with a couple of bonus tracks that did not make the first edition.
Stick To Your Guns' later work
Following the success of For What It's Worth among the hardcore fraternity, the band went through a number of lineup changes. Their track “This Is More” was released as a single while many of the original band were still teenagers, but it brought them to a wider audience and the group began touring the United States. After this, the band began work on their second LP but just two of the first line up, Barnett and Lagos, remained in the group.
In 2008, Century Media released Comes From the Heart, Stick to Your Guns' 10-track album. It featured an altered vocal style from Barnett, who also played the guitar on several tracks. Lagos provided all of the other sounds, from bass and drums to backing vocals. A further North American tour followed, including a string of dates in support of fellow hard rockers, Every Time I Die. In November of 2008, Lagos quit in order to pursue his own career.
In 2010, a new incarnation of the band released The Hope Division, which, arguably, gained the group its best critical reception from the music press to date. Two further studio albums followed, Diamond and Disobedient, both of which, like The Hope Division, were recorded for Sumerian Records.
