"All I Want For Christmas Is You" was the lead single from Mariah Carey's festive album Merry Christmas in 1994. The song missed out on a UK number one that year when it was pipped to the post by East 17’s "Stay Another Day", but it has since become a staple song during the holiday period.
The album has sold over 14 million copies worldwide, and the title single is Mariah's biggest international success (selling over 16 million copies). It is the 11th best-selling single of all time, and is reported to have earned over $50 million in royalties.
