Katherine Ryan is a lady who has been around the block. Born in Ontario, the entertainer went on to study City Planning at university in Toronto and later fell into a position at Hooters, where she began traveling around the country to train other waitresses, so honed were her skills. When she grew tired of this, she began entering and competing in open mic nights as a pastime, and quickly discovered she had a knack for stand-up comedy. Ryan went on to win the Nivea Funny Women Award in the UK and placed in the Amused Moose Laugh-Off competition later. Since then, she has starred in various sitcoms, and toured extensively across the UK and beyond.
Although Katherine Ryan often uses popular celebrities, such as Miley Cyrus and Beyonce, as material for her acts, she is a one-woman show and preforms alone during her tour.
