Number one albums galore

The brainchild of Fito Cabrales, the one-time frontman of Spanish rock outfit Los Platero y Tu, Fito and Fitipaldis formed in 1998. The line-up has constantly changed over the years, although saxophonist Javi Alzola has been an ever-present sound, while keyboardist Joserra Semperena and guitarist Carlos Raya have been with the group since 2005. Fito and Fitipaldis released their debut album, A puerta cerrada, in 1998 and their sophomore, Los suenos locos, three years later. But it was their third studio effort, 2003's Lo mas lejos a tu lado, that truly put them on the map. The group went on to score three consecutive number one LPs in their homeland, Por la boca vive el pez in 2006, Antes de que cuente diez in 2009 and Huyendo conmigo de mi in 2014. They also reached the upper levels of the Spanish charts with live albums Vivo… para contario, Dos son multitude and En directo desde el Teatro Arriaga, as well as career retrospective Fitografia. Fito and Fitipaldis haven't stopped touring since they arrived on the scene in 1998.
