Eric Clapton Tickets
There are few names in the history of rock music as revered as Eric Clapton. A true living legend, Clapton, affectionately nicknamed "Slowhand," is an English rock and blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter who has left an indelible mark on music for over six decades. He is the only person to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame three times: once as a solo artist, and separately as a member of the iconic bands The Yardbirds and Cream. His virtuosic guitar playing, a masterful blend of blues roots and rock power, has influenced countless musicians and earned him a place on nearly every list of the greatest guitarists of all time.
Clapton's journey began in the 1960s, where he quickly gained a reputation in England's burgeoning blues-rock scene. His time with The Yardbirds and John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers established him as a guitar prodigy. He then formed the supergroup Cream with Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce, a power trio that redefined the possibilities of rock music with their extended improvisations and psychedelic-tinged blues. Following Cream, he continued to explore new musical territories with Blind Faith and Derek and the Dominos, the latter of which produced the timeless rock anthem "Layla."
A Solo Career for the Ages
As a solo artist, Eric Clapton crafted a catalogue of songs that have become the soundtrack to many lives. From the heartfelt ballad "Wonderful Tonight" to the raw emotion of the Grammy-winning "Tears in Heaven" and his iconic cover of Bob Marley's "I Shot the Sheriff," his music transcends genre and touches the soul. Fans attending his live shows can expect a masterclass in musicianship, as Clapton and his world-class band deliver a mix of beloved hits, deep cuts, and powerful blues standards. While the setlist can change, the experience of witnessing a guitar god at work is always guaranteed. Fans have the opportunity to see the legend live during his upcoming performance in Detroit or his show in Chicago later that week.
