Elland Road is Leeds Football Club’s historic old stadium. Built in 1897, the stadium has been home to Leeds since the club’s formation in 1919, in the aftermath of World War I. Elland Road is the 14th biggest football ground in England with a capacity 37,890. The ground once held 57,892 for a match versus Sunderland back in 1967, when it didn’t yet have seating restrictions.
