Michigan-born Curtis Harding was raised in a musical family, with his mother a gospel singer and his sister a pianist. Shaped by this musical upbringing, Harding went on to pursue a career in music, making a number of impressive collaborations with artists such as OutKast and working closely with Cee Lo Green. The singer made his breakthrough when he recorded his first single in collaboration with Cole Alexander, which was released in 2013 by California indie company Burger Records. The seven-inch Night Sun album featured the popular singles "No Pressure" and "On My Way," which have both received extensive radio and Internet play. Due to the success of these records, Harding impressed Burger Records enough to record his first album with them.
