A Day to Remember - Metalcore Masters Make a Comeback
Formed in 2003 by guitarist Tom Denney and drummer Bobby Scruggs in Ocala, Florida, A Day to Remember have gone on to become one of the biggest modern metalcore outfits. One of the forefathers of the fusion genre, ADTR were one of the first bands to take inspiration from heavy industrial metal outfits like Rammstein and combine the sound with that of pop punk heroes like Less Than Jake. The result is a sound their fans have christened 'pop mosh'.
Featuring singer Jeremy McKinnon, guitarist Neil Westfall, bassist Joshua Woodland, plus later percussionist Alex Shelnutt and lead guitarist Kevin Skaff, the anvil-heavy rockers sent shockwaves across the alternative scene with their debut album And Their Name Was Treason in 2006 and a string of successful albums thereafter. They've been a mainstay on the metalcore scene ever since, and are set to release their sixth studio album Bad Vibrations to critical acclaim later this year after a three-year hiatus.
