Roundhouse London - An Alternative Cultural Centre
True to the artistic leanings of London's Camden neighbourhood, the Roundhouse is known for its edgy, exciting programming schedule. Originally built in 1846 as a steam-engine repair shed, the Roundhouse was redeveloped in the mid-noughties and transformed into a thriving cultural centre. Since this regeneration it has hosted artists as different as Bob Dylan and electronic maestro Flying Lotus. Today, a consistent schedule of unique concerts and theatre and circus events keep the Roundhouse at the frontline of London's alternative scene.

About Roundhouse London -A Storied Past
Named one of the best music venues in London by Time Out Magazine, the Roundhouse lives up to its respected reputation. Established as an artistic centre in 1964 by playwright Arnold Wesker, the Roundhouse has remained an artistic pioneer in North London. In the 60s and 70s, the cutting edge arts venue was the epicentre for psychedelic rock, with Jefferson Airplane, The Doors and Jimi Hendrix playing its hallowed stage. Unfortunately, due to a severe lack of funds, the Roundhouse was forced to close in the 1980s. It wasn't until the mid 2000s that the Roundhouse was completely refurbished and opened its doors to the public once again. The occasion was marked by a concert performed by masters of electronic music Chemical Brothers. From that point onward, the Roundhouse has brought London audiences the best in live entertainment, serving the capital city's arts scene well.
