Kodaline tour: Irish rockers to play London, Manchester, Glasgow and Birmingham in December 2017
Fresh from the success of second album Coming Up For Air, Dublin quartet Kodaline are back on the road again in December 2017. Combining the softness of Snow Patrol and big Coldplay-style choruses, the band have found their own brooding style of rock framed by Steve Garrigan's soaring and emotive vocals.
Tracks such as "The One" and "Human Again" show a clear progression from their debut In a Perfect World, with critics praising the band's willingness to explore different melodic styles and instruments. Kodaline will now play four concerts across the UK in December 2017, as they visit Manchester, London, Birmingham and Glasgow.

Kodaline: trademark ballads and booming choruses
Originally known as 21 Demands, Steve Garrigan, Vinny May Jr, Jason Boland and Mark Prendergast came to the attention of the music world after taking part in the fifth series of TV talent show You're a Star. After finishing as runners up, their debut single release "Give Me a Minute" made history by becoming the first independent track ever to top the Irish singles chart.
After a change in name, the band went on to release their first official EP, The Kodaline, from which single "All I Want" was chosen for record of the week on BBC Radio 1. This led to a nomination for the Sound of 2013 poll, with the group finishing second on the list behind Haim.
Later the same year, the band dropped their debut album In a Perfect World, a collection of tear-jerker ballads with emotive lyrics that resulted in a first top five hit in the UK album charts. With tracks used for popular TV programmes including Gogglebox and Grey's Anatomy, songs such as "High Hopes", "Love Like This" and "Perfect Day" achieved singles chart success, with "High Hopes" hitting number one in Ireland.
Successful tours of the UK followed before the four piece retreated to the studio to commence work on a follow-up. Released in February 2015, Coming Up for Air again displayed their talents as songwriters, spawning singles "The One" and "Honest". Having honed their craft to become a slick live act, Kodaline have become one of Ireland's most popular exports.
