The great Polly Jean Harvey fronts one of the most thought-provoking alt rock outfits around and innovates with every release. The LP was actually put together in January 2015 during her incredible month-long residency of Somerset House, and singles 'The Wheel', 'The Community of Hope' and 'The Orange Monkey' illustrate it's up there with her very best work. PJ Harvey Biography - Hear 'Down By The Water' Live

Raised on a sheep farm in Yeovil, England, the multi-instrumentalist began her musical discovery after learning how to play both saxophone and guitar as a teen. With backing from Steve Vaughan and drummer Robert Ellis, she made her first steps in 1991. After signing to British indie label Too Pure, their debut single 'Dress' received widespread critical acclaim. By the time debut record Dry arrived, critics and musicians - including Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain - were calling it one of their favourite albums ever.

Despite the anxiety and pressure of living up to the hype, sophomore album Rid of Me was a raw and powerfully charged playlist of songs that made it onto Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. In the years that followed Harvey would experience further recognition with fifth album Stories From the City, Stories From the Sea in 2000, earning her the prestigious Mercury Prize. This would be topped with art rock record Let England Shake in 2011, earning her a second Mercury Prize and making her the only artist ever to do so. With previously unreleased hit 'Guilty' now making waves and new music in the form of album The Hope Six Demolition Project, there has never been a better time to see this awesome artist in concert.
