This amazing artist grew up in the suburbs of east Berlin in the 1970s, when he sought musical inspiration from popular pirate radio stations. Before the fall of the Berlin Wall, he moved to Hamburg to live with a relative and began to carve out a music career. He moved back to Berlin in 1990 and quickly became a popular DJ around many of the fast emerging electro clubs.

After scoring a commercial breakthrough with 2000 album Out There and Back, he scored a Grammy nomination for its 2003 follow-up Reflections. This dextrous disc-spinner has since gone on to sell more than 4.5 million albums, producing a scores of iconic electro hits and club staples over the years including 'For an Angel', 'Nothing But You' and 'Let Go'.
