Who is Marshmello?
Remaining as enigmatic as ever, there is very little known about the EDM sensation, with artist himself using the age-old mantra: Let the music speak for itself. While there has certainly been those eager to figure out who the mystery DJ is, Marshmello himself has remained silent on the subject saying "I just want to make good music, that doesn't require you knowing who I am". Growing to prominence in 2015, with songs such as "SuMmeR" and "BLocKs", Marshmello originally began sharing his music via the popular audio distribution platform, SoundCloud, with his SoundCloud page boasting almost 600,000 followers! Making things official in 2016, Marshmello released his debut album Joytime through his own label, Joytime Collective, topping the iTunes electronic album chart within the first day, going on to reach number 5 on Billboard's dance music chart. His digital download single, "Alone" can boast over 70 million views on YouTube alone, yet more proof of Marshmello's talent. With live collaboration having come in the forms of Skrillex, DJ Snake and Justin Bieber, Marshmello is no stranger to some of the biggest names in the EDM world and there's always excitement regarding a new Marshmello collaboration.

While his original songs are what's really captured the attention of EDM fans, his remixes of various songs are what keeps him held in high regard with his contemporaries.
