Four Tet Biography - World Class Producer Returns For One-Off Gig

Kieran Hebden got his first taste of the music industry on forming a post-rock band called Fridge with his classmates at 15 years old. They would go on to release album Ceefax in 1997 and continue to this day, working alongside bands like Badly Drawn Boy and playing the occasional live show, in between the members' solo projects. Hebden's first solo release came the same year under his new pseudonym and by 1999 he had released debut album Dialogue, displaying a fusion of hip hop and jazz. He was dubbed a leader in 'folktronica' with second album Pause, before opening for Radiohead on their 2003 tour.

The following years saw collaborations with the likes of Super Furry Animals, The xx, Bloc Party, Bonobo, and Thom Yorke, and in 2008, he composed 'Crawl, End Crawl' with David Arnold for the end credits of the James Bond film Quantum of Solace. After setting up his own record label, Text Records, he released three further albums: Pink, Beautiful Rewind and most recently Morning/Evening.
