The Killers announce UK stadium and festival gigs in 2018
One of the most popular bands of the 21st century, The Killers have scored five number one albums in the UK and sold over 22 million records worldwide. With their 2017 return Wonderful Wonderful hailed by critics as a stellar comeback (as well as classics such as "Somebody Told Me", "When We Were Young" and "Read My Mind") the band delighted fans during a UK tour in the winter in 2017.
But don't worry if you missed those, The Killers have since announced that they will be returning to the UK in the summer of 2018 with two stadium concerts at Bolton's Macron Stadium and the Liberty Stadium in Swansea. The lads will also play at summer festivals TRNSMT, Latitude and Isle of Wight. So what are you waiting for? Grab The Killers tickets now at StubHub, the world's largest ticketing marketplace.
The Killers: one of the 21st century's most successful bands
Beginning in Las Vegas, The Killers formed in 2001 under the direction of fiery frontman Brandon Flowers, who named the band after the fictional group that played in the video for "Crystal" by New Order - one of the band's greatest influences. Guitarist Dave Keuning, bassist Mark Stoemer and drummer Ronnie Vannuci Jr displayed prodigious instrumental skill to complement the frontman's dramatic vocal power as the band burst straight onto the indie scene.
The Killers found huge success with their debut album Hot Fuss in 2004, with the record now added to the prestigious 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die. Riding the genre named 'The New Rock Revolution' in the UK alongside The Strokes, the band consolidated their success with 2006's Sam's Town, 2008's Day and Age and Battle Born (2012), with all four albums hitting the number one spot in the UK.
A relatively quiet five years followed, before 2017's critically acclaimed Wonderful Wonderful gave the band their fifth UK number one. After completing a UK tour in late-2017, the band are now in the midst of a mammoth world tour, before returning to the UK in summer 2018 to play both the Macron Stadium in Bolton and Swansea's Liberty Stadium. The shows will be The Killers’ first stadium dates since they headlined a sold out Wembley Stadium in June 2013, so make sure you grab tickets now at StubHub.
