Steps 2018 tour: 90s pop superstars to play 20+ shows around the UK to celebrate new album Tears on the Dancefloor
All-singing, all-dancing five-piece Steps are as much of a brilliantly cheesy guilty pleasure now as in their '90s heyday. Their fun and infectious pop sound secured the band a place at the top of British pop music, accumulating 14 consecutive top five UK hits and two multi-million selling, UK number one albums.
Finally back with their 2017 and 2018 comeback shows, Claire, H, Lisa, Lee and Faye are set to perform 21 dates all over the UK, including Belfast, London and Glasgow. The gang will also be calling at: Aberdeen, Liverpool, Newcastle, Leeds, Brighton, Bournemouth, Nottingham, Cardiff, Birmingham, Manchester and Dublin – meaning Steps fans up and down the country will be able to see the pop superstars perform live.
Steps will be joined by fellow '90s pop band, Vengaboys. Even more exciting, the band aren't just reuniting to solely tour, there's already a new single out in the form of "Scared of The Dark", along with a whole new album titled Tears On The Dancefloor, for the group to promote. So make sure you're there to see this incredible band live and buy those Steps tickets, right here at StubHub.
Steps: reunion proving hugely popular
Originally formed in 1997 to release the novelty line-dancing single "5,6,7,8", Steps were expected to be a one hit wonder. However, the track experienced considerable longevity and remains one of their highest selling singles to date. Intrigued by this success, pop svengali Pete Waterman became involved and the band next promoted a cover of Bananarama's "Last Thing on My Mind", which would become their first top 10 single. This was closely followed by debut album, Step One, which entered the UK album charts at number two and spent nearly a year in the top 20, going platinum twice.
After four years of hit singles and internationally successful albums the band announced their split. Nonetheless, loyal fans suspected that they would one day reform, and in 2011 the members came back for a TV documentary and were soon selling Steps tickets for a reformation tour. A compilation album, The Ultimate Collection, was also released, reaching njumber one on the UK albums chart in October 2011, confirming their continued popularity. What has surprised pop fans and critics alike is just how good the entire band look, especially considering that its been almost 20 years since their formation. Needless to say, their upcoming reunion is set to be one of the most exciting concerts for anybody pining for '90s nostalgia, so get your Steps tickets safely online with our FanProtect™ Guarantee.
