Rizzle Kicks - Get Down with the 'Down with the Trumpets' Duo
Although they always knew each other from school, it was a chance reunion on the football pitch that led Jordan and Harley to record tracks as a duo. After learning their trade from producers they knew in the industry, they decided to make a crack at a professional music career with DIY uploads to their YouTube channel. Eventually, their sunny tunes caught the attention of Island Records and the label put out their debut mariachi-flavoured debut 'Down With the Trumpets' in 2011. Putting out their platinum-selling debut album Stereo Typical later that year, the twosome soon garnered a huge UK fan base.
Their sophomore album Roaring 20s soared straight into the UK Top 10, and was crammed full of exiting collaborations with long-established artists like dance luminary Fatboy Slim and jazz pianist Jamie Cullum. The LP spawned two hit singles in 2013 - 'Lost Generation' and 'Skip to the Good Bit' - before Harley decided to focus his attention on acting roles for shows like E4 drama Glue. Setting out to surpass their first two efforts, the pair make a welcome return to music in 2016 with latest single 'Always Late', plus a shiny new LP to boot.
