Oliver Heldens Tickets
A DJ and electronic music producer, Oliver Heldens is originally from the Dutch city of Rotterdam. Born in 1995, the artist is perhaps best known for his 2013 hit track, “Gecko”. This song brought him to the attention of DJ Tiësto, another Dutch music producer who signed him to his label. Since then, Heldens has produced his work for the Musical Freedom label. Heldens is known for the techno elements in his house music, but he also operates in the sub-genre of future house. Some of his tracks are nightclub friendly and others are more suited to large crowds at festivals. In addition, Heldens is known for his bass house tracks, such as “Crank it Up”.
Oliver Heldens' career milestones
The artist began his professional career in music as a performance DJ when he signed to Spinnin' Records, run by Eelko van Kooten and Roger de Graaf. A couple of singles started to make Helden's name in the house music industry. The first of these was called “Stinger” and it was soon followed up by “Thumper”. The DJ went on to collaborate with Robbie East on another track called “Panther”, which was put out on the Oxygen label in late 2013. When “Gecko” was released towards the end of the year, it got to number one in the DMC Magazine charts. The song also received extensive airplay in the UK by the BBC radio DJ Pete Tong, who first aired it in early 2014.
By 2015, Heldens was making a name for himself. For instance, he was placed 12 on the list of top 100 DJs by DJ Mag at this time. Of all of the performers on the list, he was the highest ranked house DJ. As his career took off, Heldens was invited to play at many of Europe's top house club nights. For example in 2015 and 2016, he played DJ sets at Creamfields and Stereosonic. He has also performed at Amnesia in Ibiza, and Tomorrowland, one of the leading electronic music festivals on the continent. In 2016, Heldens took to the stage at the Glastonbury festival for the first time. For a while, the musician also opened club nights for the leading German DJ and record producer, Robin Schulz.
During this period of his career, Heldens sometimes operated under the moniker of Hi-Lo. For example, his track “Renegade Mastah” came out under this stage name. These days, Heldens switches between Hi-Lo and his real name, depending on the project. In 2015, the DJ released a new EP called Helldeep Talent. It featured tracks such as “I Can't Stop”, “Slip Away” and “Fall Under Skies”. In 2016, Style Icon Asia named Heldens the Iconic Global Producer of the year.
