Kevin Bridges: Glaswegian comic to go back in tour in 2018

Embarking on his first tour in three years, 2018 sees the return of one of Scotland's finest stand-up comics. Kevin Bridges' The Brand New Tour will work its way around the UK and Ireland between August and December next year, and will be the comic's biggest tour to date.

Kevin Bridges: no nonsense, award-winning standup

While growing up in Glasgow, Kevin Bridges' father was uncertain of his son's future, particularly after a number of encounters with the law! Luckily, Bridges found a calling in comedy, and began his stand-up career at the tender age of 17. Just a year later the budding star reached the finals of So You Think You're Funny; a talent contest at the 2005 Edinburgh Fringe.

Bridges went on to debut his first hour long show at the Glasgow Comedy Festival in March 2006 and, after increasing in confidence with each passing year, went on to split sides with his Edinburgh Fringe debut in 2007. Bridges' big breakthrough moment then came in 2009, when he appeared on BBC One's Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow. Over 5-million viewers saw his debut TV performance, and served to boost his profile and status on the comedy circuit.

After that success, Bridges became a regular host and guest on TV: appearing on comedy shows Would I Lie to You and Mock the Week most regularly. A few years later, the no nonsense Glaswegian has become a household name, a bestselling author and an award-winning comedian.
