Joe Lycett Tickets
A panel show regular, radio favourite and advocate of puns, Joe Lycett has been hailed as one of the rising stars of British stand-up comedy. The Birmingham-born funnyman has received multiple award nominations since bursting onto the scene in the late 00s and, with his camp, confident and cheeky demeanor, has cleverly positioned himself as the heir to Graham Norton's throne.
Plot
Capable of building an instant rapport with his audience, Lycett is the kind of performer that makes stand-up comedy look easy. Alongside hilarious anecdotes about his friends, neighbours and sexuality, Lycett has also become known for his trivial but highly amusing battles with various online foes, often reading out the increasingly exasperated tweets and emails from his unwitting targets, who include everything from Starbucks and the Post Office to Internet scammers.
Schedule
Capitalising on his increasing popularity, Lycett will spend the rest of the year on the road, with sets at Magners Greenwich Comedy Festival and various London comedy clubs all scheduled before he takes his successful Edinburgh Fringe show across the country, That's The Way A-Ha, A-Ha. Joe Lycett will first visit Shrewsbury's Henry Tudor House before moving on to the likes of Salford, Newcastle upon Tyne, Southport, York, Leeds, Glasgow, Cardiff, Lincoln and Southampton, with Joe Lycett tickets also available for several shows at his hometown's Glee Club.
Trivia
Lycett has appeared on numerous TV panel shows including 8 Out of 10 Cats, Reality Bites, Celebrity Juice, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Virtually Famous, Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Dirty Digest. He also co-wrote the narration of ITV2's reality show The Magaluf Weekender and served as the resident newshound on Josh Widdicombe's Saturday morning XFM show. Lycett co-wrote and starred alongside Amy Hoggart and Eric Lampaert in the 2010 comedy film, Laughter Shock. In 2015, Lycett finished above the likes of Brad Pitt, Bradley Cooper and Jake Gyllenhaal when he placed tenth in Attitude magazine's annual poll of the 100 hottest male celebrities.
Cast
From his 2012 debut solo show, Some Lycett Hot, to his Beyonce-inspired 2013 follow-up, If Joe Lycett, Then You Should've Put A Ring On It, Joe Lycett has always performed entirely solo, although he certainly isn't averse to involving his audiences in his quick-witted routines.
Original Author
After graduating from the University of Manchester with a degree in English and Drama, Lycett made his stand-up debut in 2008 and a year later was crowned Chortle's Student Comedian of the Year. Further acclaim followed, including the runner-up spot for Laughing Horse New Act of the Year and a finalist position at the BBC New Comedy Awards, as did support slots on tours by Jack Whitehall, Scott Capurro, Ross Noble and Tommy Tiernan. Lycett then made the leap to prime time Saturday night television in 2011 when he served as the on-screen announcer on the short-lived game show, Epic Win, and the demand for Joe Lycett tickets further increased when he picked up a Best Newcomer nomination for his 2012 Edinburgh Fringe debut. A 2014 set on BBC1's Live at the Apollo and guest appearances on The Apprentice: You're Fired and Celebrity Squares also helped to boost his mainstream profile.
Producer
Those with Joe Lycett tickets should look forward to a show scripted and produced entirely by the funnyman himself.
