This plucky singer was destined for stardom from an early age - she released her first, "unofficial", studio album The Audition, back at the age of 18. Later, having impressed some of US rap's kingpins with her unique style and charisma, she signed to Bad Boy records, then a year later released the Metropolis EP. From here, her amazing vocals gained a larger audience, as fans on both sides of the Atlantic became entranced by her talents. But few predicted how far out she'd go with 2010's The ArchAndroid album, a concept record inspired by classic sci-fi film Metropolis. She went on to enjoy huge success in the UK with collaboration work, but in 2013 announced what fans had been waiting for: her solo return, with new album The Electric Lady.
