Greta Van Fleet Tickets
A four-piece rock band from the United States, Greta Van Fleet has been producing music since they formed in 2012. The band is made up of Josh, Jake and Sam Kiszka, along with Danny Wagner, the group’s drummer. The outfit is probably best known by hard rock fans for their crunchy, guitar-driven style. Among their greatest commercial successes is a single by the name of “Highway Tune”, which got to the top of the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts in September 2017. The track received extensive airplay on rock music radio stations in America and has been streamed many times on services such as Spotify.
Greta Van Fleet's bio
Founded in Frankenmuth, Michigan, Greta Van Fleet first began with another percussionist, by the name of Kyle Hauck. He was replaced in October 2013, but Hauck took part in many of the band’s early recording sessions, including making contributions to the studio work that would eventually end up producing the aforementioned “Highway Tune”. In June 2014, the band’s first official release came out, with Wagner drumming. It was an as-live EP that was recorded in a single take. Featuring four songs that had been laid down a few months earlier, the band held a launch party concert to announce its arrival. One of the tracks, “Standing On”, went on to be used in a TV advertising campaign in the Detroit area.
The band’s signature track, “Highway Tune”, first came out in March 2016 and was something of a slow burner, gathering momentum as interest in the band grew among rock fans. When the song was used for a TV show, it gathered some new fans of the band's style. However, when the members of Greta Van Fleet decided to make it available on streaming sites, the song started to become much more noticeable. In April of that year, the band made a music video for their track, which was made exclusively available on Loudwire. Towards the end of that month, Apple Music named the band new artist of the week, which had a galvanising effect on the number of listeners who were discovering the group for the first time. A studio EP called Black Smoke Rising soon followed. With improved production values on many of the songs, the band said that the work would end up contributing to a fully-fledged studio album down the line.
