Giants Live: European and World's Strongest Man titles up for grabs

Competitors qualify for a shot at the World's Strongest Man event in Manchester based on placing in the top three at a Giants Live event; so there's plenty at stake. Billed as the greatest one-day strength-contest ever, the event not only features the top 10 strongmen in the world but also the legendary World Deadlift Championships.

In July 2016 The Beast Eddie Hall set a new world record in the deadlift with a lift of 500 kilograms (1,100 lb), besting the world record he had previously set at 465 kilograms (1,025 lb) earlier that same day.
