Extreme Biography - Metal's Finest Return
Headed by frontmen Gary Cherone and Nuno Bettencourt, these anvil-heavy rockers formed in Malden, Massachusetts in 1985. Created from the ashes of the band The Dream, they released their debut, self-titled album in 1989, following it up a year later with the multi-platinum Extreme II: Pornograffitti. They enjoyed huge success in the UK and Europe, playing at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert in 1992 and jamming with the likes of Brian May and Van Halen. Moving from metal into a grungier sound as the moved through the 1990s, they eventually split in 1996. After going their own ways they delighted fans by returning to the scene in 2004, with 2008 album Saudades de Rock (that translates as Nostalgic Yearnings of Rock) showing they still had the chops to succeed.
Still going strong on the live circuit, they're a lean, mean rocking machine, so don't miss out on the chance to get Extreme tickets on StubHub, the world's largest ticketing marketplace.
