Bayside Tickets
"Bayside Tickets
Formed in Queens, New York, Bayside is a popular American punk rock band. They have released six albums since their inception in 2000. Selling over 250,000 records, Bayside has become one of the most successful institutions in the punk rock scene.
Schedule
As well as headlining tours around the world, Bayside is a regular at Warped Tour and many other music festivals. Bayside is also a favourite in Europe with tickets being sold for many cities including Glasgow, Nottingham, Manchester, Hamburg and Copenhagen. Bayside will also be appearing at UK festivals in Bristol, London and Exeter.
Trivia
Bayside came up with their name on the way to Long Island for a New Found Glory concert. The band wanted to give New Found Glory a demo but didn't have a name to write on the CD. They passed the Bayside Train Station on their way to the concert and ended up naming this demo "Bayside." This demo ultimately became their band name, too. Over the years, lead singer Anthony Raneri has become known for his solo work outside of Bayside. Raneri has collaborated with members of Beat Union and My Chemical Romance for his solo EP, which gained success charting on the iTunes Top 10 Alternative Albums chart.
Band
Bayside has had many member changes since its creation in 2000. The only founding member to still be a part of Bayside is lead vocalist and rhythm guitar player Anthony Raneri. The other members of Bayside are Jack O'Shea (backing vocals, lead guitar), Chris Guglielmo (percussion, drums) and Nick Ghanbarian (backing vocals, bass guitar). Chris Guglielmo joined the band after a devastating van accident that killed former drummer John "Beatz" Holohan and injured other members of the band in 2005. Bayside's first four records were released with Chicago based record label Victory Records. The band went on to release "Killing Time" on Wind Up Records in New York, and eventually signed on to Los Angeles label Hopeless Records for their sixth album, "Cult."
Breakthrough
Bayside has been steadily producing punk rock staples since their debut album "Sirens and Condolences." John D. Luerssen of music review site AllMusic.com called the album, "a pretty impressive entry." Popular songs from "Sirens and Condolences" include "Masterpiece," "How to Fix Everything," and "Guardrail." Only a year later, Bayside's second and self-titled album gained even more acclaim from critics and fans alike. Amazon reviewer Brian Lewis sums up the album by saying "there are no bad songs." Fan favourites from their self-titled album "Bayside" include "Devotion and Desire," "Montauk" and "Existing in Crisis."
Hit Albums
Some of Bayside's most enduring songs come from the 2004 release of their first album, "Sirens and Condolences," recorded four years after the band formed. This helped Bayside gain an audience which lead them to produce their self-titled second album. Bayside's sixth album, "Cult," has also proven to be one of their most popular albums. They continue to accrue critical acclaim in the punk rock genre from music review publications including Spin, AbsolutePunk, Blare Magazine and Rolling Stone.
Show Experience
Fans with Bayside tickets can expect to enjoy a high energy live show. Concerts include the full live band performing guitar, bass, drums and vocals. Bayside brings an energy when performing live that keeps the crowd pumped up. This energy compels the crowd to form mosh pits, partake in crowd surfing and have a good punk rock time. Always trying to please fans, the set list mixes Bayside classics from early on in their career as well as their latest material. Bayside is even known to perform encores that include acoustic performances from Anthony Raneri's solo work and Bayside fan favourites.
