The American drag queen, performer, comedian, television personality and singer, Trixie Mattel is as known for her dazzling performances on stage as she is for being a contestant on the seventh season of RuPaul's Drag Race, as well as for winning the third season of RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars. She has also appeared in the web series UNHhhh and co-hosted The Trixie & Katya Show with Katya Zamolodchikova. Born Brian Michael Firkus in Milwaukee, he is native Ojibwe (one of the largest indigenous ethnic groups in North America). While at university, he was introduced to drag and went onto perform in The Rocky Horror Show at the Oriental Theatre in Milwaukee. By the age of 19, he had performed his first drag act at the LaCage NiteClub in Milwaukee and became a regular on the Milwaukee drag scene. While Trixie didn't win the seventh season of RuPaul's Drag Race, she was one of the series' most controversial characters, eliminated in episode 4 and brought back in episode 8 to then be eliminated again in episode 10. However, she then went onto bag the top spot on RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars, beating the likes of Kennedy Davenport and BenDeLaCreme.
