Pet Shop Boys announce another Royal Opera House residency
Propelled by UK numbers one hits such as "It's a Sin", "Heart" and of course, "West End Girls", the Pet Shop Boys have recorded 13 consecutive UK top 10 studio albums, received an award for Outstanding Contribution to Music at the 2009 BRIT Awards, and sold over 50 million records worldwide (making them the most successful duo in UK music history).
In July 2018, the pair return to play their second Inner Sanctum residency at London's Royal Opera House; after a sell-out four night session two years earlier. "We were thrilled to bring electronic music into the grandest musical space in London for four memorable nights in 2016", said Pet Shop Boys. "Since then we’ve often been asked if we’re planning a return to the Royal Opera House and we’re excited to confirm that we’ll be back in July."

Pet Shop Boys: the most successful duo in UK music history
Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe met back in 1981 in an electronics shop in Chelsea. The following year, after forming a strong friendship over their love of dance music, the pair began working on material together and penned some of their best loved hits such as "It's a Sin" and "West End Girls". Originally known as West End, Tennant and Lowe changed their name before their big break in 1983.
Two years to the day after the pair first met, Tennant met with New York producer Bobby O (over a cheeseburger no less) and, after hearing a demo tape, the Hi-NRG producer suggested a collaboration; which led to 11 tracks being put down in only a year. Since then, a string of platinum-selling albums and more than three decades of pop hits have followed. In March 2016, the band released 13th album Super: another smash hit that kept up their impeccable record of reaching the UK top 10 with each of their albums so far. Super singles "Inner Sanctum", "Happiness" and "The Pop Kids" all earned critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic, before the duo held a four-night residency Inner Sanctum at London's Royal Opera House.
The sell-out session proved such a success that, much to the delight of fans, the duo have decided to hold another two years on. Don't miss out! Buy Pet Shop Boys tickets now at StubHub and see the duo live in truly spectacular surroundings.
