En Vogue: iconic R&B group to tour the UK in 2018

One of the biggest R&B powerhouses of the 1990s, seven-time Grammy nominated girl group En Vogue are returning to the live scene in 2018 for a series of dates around the UK. The queens of soul first made their mark with unforgettable hit "Don't Let Go (Love)" and have gone on to sell over 20 million records across 25 years.

In 2018 the group will release their seventh studio album Electric Café, preceded by singles Deja Vu, I'm Good and Have a Seat, which features rapper Snoop Dogg. The trio will now head to Belfast, Bristol, Birmingham, London, Manchester and Glasgow on a UK tour – and you can be there.

En Vogue: Funky Divas have still got it

Moulded around the girl groups of the 1950s, Cindy Herron, Terry Ellis, Maxine Jones and Dawn Robinson first came together in 1989. Originally conceived as a trio, Ellis' audition was so strong that the decision was made to turn the band into a quartet. The combination of the girls' powerful voices with their sleek image and crossover sound saw the four piece achieve success early on in their careers, with debut single "Hold On" becoming a top five international hit.

However it was 1996's "Don't Let Go (Love)" that really propelled the group to fame when it was included in the soundtrack for film Set it Off. Upon its release the single spent eight weeks in the UK Top 10 and a total of 13 in the Top 40. It made a resurgence in 2011 and re-entered the UK charts at number 23 after being featured on The X Factor as a cover by girl group Little Mix. Having also been sampled by the likes of Professor Green, the single has proved to be a timeless hit.

Having reinvented themselves for modern audiences, the band (now with a new three-piece line-up) has maintained its status as a forerunner of the R&B genre. Their biggest triumphs over the last decade have included performances with Prince, Alicia Keys and Stevie Wonder, culminating in a brilliant one-off performance at the O2 in 2016.
