Bringing together a line-up that includes Mystery Jets, The Temper Trap and Rat Boy, this event travels to three cities across the UK each May, with 2016 its 11th year. Beginning in Manchester, before moving to Bristol and finishing up in Nottingham, the festival has an outstanding reputation for unearthing new talent, and this year looks no exception. Dot to Dot Festival History - Manchester, Nottingham and Bristol Event Back for 2016

Starting its life in three of Nottingham's most popular venues, this up and coming festival initially ran over one day with artists including British Sea Power, Klaxons and Mystery Jets playing at The Bodega, Rescue Rooms and Stealth. Incorporating DJs, food and drinks stalks and visual activities the event soon grew, and by 2008 it had extended to both Bristol and Shoreditch in London, attracting electronically inspired acts like Bloc Party and DJ sets by Juiceboxxx. In a move which would see the festival swap its London occupation for Manchester, the organisers were thrilled to secure headliners like Ed Sheeran, Hurts and We Are Scientists for three dates of incredible music.

This year will see the welcome return of Mystery Jets to the line-up, after the release of their sixth studio album Curve of the Earth. They'll be joined by The Temper Trap and NME's star of the moment Rat Boy - and there could be a few secrets up the sleeves of the festival founders yet.
