Relatively new band Chase Atlantic formed in 2014, although two of its founding members - Christian Anthony and Mitchel Cave - had been playing together since 2012. The trio (which now includes Mitchel's brother Clinton Cave) initially started with a pop punk sound, releasing their first EP 'Dalliance' in 2014 and enjoying a small surge in popularity. The remainder of the year saw them move in a slightly more indie-influenced direction, and release the most popular Chase Atlantic song at that time: 'Friends' not only boosted their loyal following, but helped them to catch the eye of the Madden brothers from Good Charlotte. After signing with MDDN, the members of Chase Atlantic took a break to develop a new style, taking their lyrics and music into R&B and alternative territory.
