The rise of Aerosmith
Forming back in 1970, Aerosmith have produced since some of the world's most iconic rock songs. Originally from Boston, the band spent a year playing local venues before Columbia Records picked them up. Their eponymous debut, Aerosmith, released in 1973, may have featured instant classics such as the highly karaoke-able "Dream On", but it was their third album Toys in the Attic, that really brought them worldwide success. The album was critically acclaimed the world over, featuring tracks such as "Walk This Way", "Sweet Emotion" and "You See Me Crying".
Impressively Aerosmith have since then released success after success, earning multiple awards and accolades along the way. Some of their most prestigious awards include the likes of Grammy Awards, American Music Awards and Billboard Music Awards. As for their live shows, there are countless reviews praising Aerosmith's onstage presence, so if you're fan of the bad boys of Boston, you'll definitely want to get your Aerosmith tickets right here at StubHub.
Aerosmith's top tracks
With 15 albums under their belts, Aerosmith can boast some truly epic songs, many of which have helped define decades. While there's no denying the popularity of Aerosmith classic "Dream On", it may be hard to believe that the song's original debut saw the single stall at No. 59, it wasn't until Aerosmith's reissue in 1976, that song received recognition reaching No. 6, making the song Aerosmith's first top 10 hit. Other tracks from the album include "Mama Kin", which has now become a live staple for many of their live shows, featuring luscious saxophone throughout the track, needless to say, you'll definitely want to re-acquaint yourself with the album when you go to see them live.
For an entirely new generation, the track that brought their attention to Aerosmith, came in the form of Armageddon's power ballad, "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing". Released in 1998, the track is admittedly Aerosmith's biggest song to date, spending a month in America's No. 1 slot, charting in over 17 countries with Australia, Germany, Spain and the UK numbering among them.
