Texas State Bobcats Football TicketsAfter bouncing around a few different conferences, Texas State landed in the Sun Belt conference in 2013. Since then, they have struggled trying to get a winning record. As the 2019 season approaches, however, the Bobcats will enjoy the leadership of a new head coach, Jake Spavital. He will bring his experience as the coordinator for some of the best college football programs in the country. Expectedly, the Bobcats' fans will soon have a chance to see what improvements the new coach will enact. Long-time supporters of the Bobcats can also look forward to the ever-lasting rivalry between them and the University of Texas San Antonio Roadrunners. After nearly 30 years of meeting in many other sports, the schools' football teams just started playing each other a few years ago. Since then, UTSA has been able to win each match-up as Texas State went through the aforementioned struggles. Catch the season-opening game against Appalachian State Mountaineers in November at North Carolina, the starting price for tickets is $45.

Some of the top games will include the matchup with SMU on September 14, Arkansas State on October 26 and Troy at the end of the regular season in November.
When did the Texas State Bobcats hire a new coach? The Bobcats hired Jake Spavital on November 28, 2018, after another unsuccessful season under former head coach Withers concluded. Spavital has been in the NCAA since 2008. He previously played both quarterback and punter for one season in Division I football in 2006. Some of the programs that he has been involved with include Texas A&M, where he worked as an offensive coordinator and quarterback coach, and West Virginia.
What was the Bobcats' record last season?Although Texas State started off their 2018 by having two wins and two losses, their struggles became evident in the second half of the season. They ended in the last position of their division in 2018. They accumulated a total of nine losses and three wins. Another underwhelming season prompted them to terminate their contract with the former head coach, Everett Withers, as Jake Spavital takes over.
Where do the Bobcats play?Texas State's campus is located in San Marcos, Texas. The Bobcats play at the recently expanded Bobcat Stadium that sits east of the center of the university. The Jim Wacker Field at Bobcat Stadium was originally built in 1981. After going through a major expansion in 2012, it currently has a 30,008-seat capacity. The record attendance of 2016, however, went above that capacity when the Bobcats played the University of Houston with 33,133 people attending the game.
