Parma Calcio 1913 Tickets
Parma FC - a force of nature
In 2018, Parma FC returned to the big leagues after a long battle to reach the top. The namesake of a team that threatened the mantle of Milanese and Roman giants in the 1990s is now ready to succeed where its predecessor failed, making Parma FC tickets a hot sell on StubHub!
Hoping for more Serie A seasons
The proper name for Parma FC is actually "SSD Parma Calcio 1913", but that doesn't stop the fans from calling it by the same name as the club that folded in 2015. The new Parma club was forced to begin life in fourth-tier Serie D upon forming, but that did not stop people from buying Parma FC tickets and season tickets, with nearly 10,000 of the latter being sold ahead of 2015/16. Three straight promotions have seen Parma soar into the top flight, leading many to hope that the club can have successful Serie A seasons in the coming years. The club has not been short of doubters, but after signing former Italy National Soccer Team U20 player Fabio Ceravolo in the summer of 2018, the team proved that it can still be a huge draw for talented battlers capable of handling the top flight. With Ceravolo also being the first seven-figure signing at the new club, his arrival brought a hitherto-absent air of excitement to a forgotten institution of Italian football.
The history behind the hardship of Parma FC
While Parma began 2018/19 as relegation frontrunners, the club - even in its original form - has a history of defying its doubters. After taking over the original "Parma Foot Ball Club" that formed in 1913 but went bust in 1968, Associazione Calcio Parmense assumed Parma FC as its new moniker a year later. Promotions followed, but the top flight action the region craved was not forthcoming. That would change in 1990, when the club went up for the first time, sparking a run of victories. First came a 1992 Coppa Italia triumph at Juventus' expense, with the club going on to win the Cup Winners' Cup a year later. It got better later in the 1990s, with 1997 bringing a second place finish, and 1999 heralding a first triumph in the secondary European club competition, when they beat Olympique de Marseille in the final. Due to the club's funding source going bust in the early 2000s, the good times were not to last. There was a brief revival in the late 2000s, but the same successes of the 1990s remained elusive. A new era has begun, however, and Parma FC tickets remain as in-demand as ever for fans who want to buy and sell on StubHub!
